Most Memorable
Moments:
Raising holy hell on Friday nights; reaching for all sorts of bizarre, different
and non-traditional musical styles - then sometimes laughing at each other
for what we'd come up with; systematically "discouraging" Joe; Al
getting pissed in the middle of a crowded computer store because the guy
working there didn't even know about sound cards; not asking slackers back
after they "auditioned," Sean and Al bleaching their hair Manic Panic Crayola
yellow (and Al dyeing part of his purple); Newbury Comics and Newbury CD stores; Providence; reaching down to pick
up dropped sunglasses and driving off the road - then the guy trying to
suit Al for "ruining" his front lawn; Freeze Pops; the infamous
annual Halloweenparties; the mock wake/ funeral/ occult "mass"/
cremation Halloween '95; Billy throwing Pat out, then Al throwing Billy out; Pat's
"just never coming back;" Strawberries stores; music stores;
Batman movies; getting a kick out of bitching about the cold, bitching about
the heat, swim breaks in the pool, bitching about not being able to find
all permanent members for this project, bitching about society and politics,
bitching about life in general; Al teasing Sean about re-tuning - or even
"touching" his guitar (yeah, right!); Sean and Al climbing
the old deserted tower at Horseneck Beach after pulling the rope in so nobody
else could get in - to take pictures, use the binoculars (which they forgot
both the camera and the binoculars), and basically so they could raise holy
hell up there, undisturbed, for as long as they wanted to; staying up talking
heart to heart all night long; THE psychedelic evening of goofing on Led Zeppelin's "The Song Remains
The Same" (something Al probably thought he'd never be caught dead doing
- in THIS or any other lifetime) and on "A Clockwork Orange" - particularly
the part where the gang's leader, Alex, drop-kicks the elderly writer guy
down the stairs while he's ranting "I'm singin' in the rain... Just singin'
in the rain...!" - We kept playing that part over and over until our
stomachs hurt from laughing so much; Al's driving over the fog-shrouded Braga
Bridge the next morning and going to a Criminal Justice class - a course
in which he got an "A," (!!!) after being up, laughing, all night with Sean;
"The Outsiders;" "Trainspotting"- especially "Sick Boy;" Hangin at the gas
station on Sundays; etc., etc., etc., yadda, yadda, yadda ...
These were FUN
times. GOOD times...
