UPDATE - SEPT 13th, 2005

Steffan wasn't able, unfortunately, to stay with us due to other responsibilities.
Even after what ended up as having "jammed" a couple of times, he's been missed.
Ronnie, Andy and I have moved on and have been in a highly creative atmosphere.
We've been working on writing, and also on perfecting the tightness of our sound, as it is right now.

Additionally, we have been sifting, occassionally, and have selected some things from the past to do.

We still seek a lead guitarist, and are considering another rhythm guitarist, as well.

We're at the primary demo quality recording phase, with the first of the songs which we'd begun practicing in mid-July/ early August. These are basically reference recordings for the band, but we've shared a couple of them and will do this - at least here and there - throughout the rest of the writing and recording process.

UPDATE - JUNE 25th, 2005

New material continues to be written, practiced, and recorded ...
Steffan is joining me shortly, and we plan on
bringing the others in sometime in July or August
We're actually ahead of "schedule."

Ryan Taylor.joined the band last night ... Well, pretty much, I guess ...
We all like what happened - how it sounded and all.

I think that it's what we all want and that we'll be continuing together -
hopefully everything will work out - with our various schedules and all ...

UPDATE - FEBRUARY 2002

Kevin left the band in December; he had lots of other things going on ...

Dave, Donn and I have continued writing and practicing, and we're recording again now. We have actually (FINALLY !!!) started to SOLIDIFY plans for live performances - including plans for really kewl special effects on stage ...

Rhode Island rock guitarist Kevin Williams has decided to work with the project ...
It looks like there's no question that new material is going to come out of this latest incarnation of Covenstead; we're already writing stuff ...

i.e.   have been recording by myself lately ...
 

We've had some personnel "issues" / changes (not "issues" with each other, but rather with others outside of the band) over the past couple of years - just decided to take a while off from it all ...  I started recording some material alone a couple of months ago again. Looks like we're finally lining up an actual BAND, with permanent members. Rehearsals will start sometime this month (September 2000) and we should be recording again within a few months (or even sooner). We also plan some concerts - possibly with other area acts - beginning in 2001, most likely.

If you are interested in local rock concerts, PENTACLE is going to be doing a continuous rotation of them - probably starting even sooner than next year (2001). Check their web site for details on upcoming shows and events ...
